§128. National Maritime Day
(a) Designation.—May 22 is National Maritime Day. (b) Proclamation.—The President is requested to issue each year a proclamation calling on— (1) the people of the United States to observe National Maritime Day by displaying the flag of the United States at their homes or other suitable places; and (2) United States Government officials to display the flag on all Government buildings on National Maritime Day.
