§136. Librarian of Congress; rules and regulations

The Librarian of Congress shall make rules and regulations for the government of the Library.

Amendments 2015—Pub. L. 114–86 struck out provisions relating to appointment of Librarian of Congress. 1972—Pub. L. 92–310 struck out provisions which required the Librarian of Congress to give a bond in the sum of $20,000.

Statutory Notes and Related Subsidiaries

Short Title of 2015 Amendment Pub. L. 114–86, §1, Nov. 5, 2015, 129 Stat. 675, provided that: "This Act [enacting section 136–1 of this title and amending this section] may be cited as the 'Librarian of Congress Succession Modernization Act of 2015'."
